He attended Southern University in New Orleans. His venture into photography started as a personal hobby. His family and friends took notice of his talent and started making special requests for him to photograph them. As he tells it, "I enjoyed capturing those special moments and freezing them in time." His specialties include street-life photography, fashion, weddings, and personal portraits. He is self-taught and as he tells it "learning more everyday." He is also the grandson of the late Professor Longhair (Henry Roeland Byrd) and attributes his work ethics to what he learned from his grandfather.
