His specialties include street-life photography, fashion, weddings, and personal portraits.  He is self-taught and as he tells it "learning more everyday." He is also the grandson of the late Professor Longhair (Henry Roeland Byrd) and attributes his work ethics to what he learned from his grandfather. Hope to see you there!!! _ Tuesday, November 6, 2018 _  Fleur De Lily Rivertown Cafe'  _ 325 Williams Blvd.- Kenner, LA _ (504)336-4268 _ 7:00pm _ Zulay Herrera Nakamura expresses the joy and suffering that we experience in our daily lives.  She has created a unique world on a variety of art pieces utilizing handmade paper as her focus and incorporating various other techniques, such as oil painting,  watercolor,  wood-block painting, graphics, pen and wash, and charcoal drawing, among others. _ Zulay was born in Santa Teresa Del Tuy in the state of Miranda in Venezuela.  She graduated from the School of Plastic Arts “Cristobal Rojas” with a Technical Degree in Pure Art in Caracas, Venezuela in 1979. She later graduated from the School of Graphic Arts “CEGRA” also in Caracas, Venezuela in 1981. There she learned graphic arts and papermaking. In 1992, she studied and began creating handmade books.
